When you have to spend your own money you are much more careful about what you purchase. Today's system is promoting the "tragedy of the green" to the medical realm.
Of course "free" health care only escalates the problem.

The lone person voicing concern that armed members of a extremist group intimidated voters during the 2008 election has been "reassigned" by the Obama Department of Injustice.
The veteran Justice Department voting rights section chief who recommended going forward on a civil complaint against members of the New Black Panther Party after they disrupted a Pennsylvania polling place in last year's elections has been removed from his post and transferred to the U.S. attorney's office in South Carolina.
Justice Department officials confirmed Monday that Christopher Coates, who signed off on the complaint's filing in federal court in Philadelphia in January accusing the party and three of its members of civil rights violations, would begin his new assignment next month. I hope no one is surprised by this move. Let's just hope that he doesn't meet with an "unfortunate accident". I'm sure we'll see more of the same in 2012. Coming soon to a polling place near you!

First, thanks for the free golf cart!
Secondly, Obama just doesn't want to subsidize failure, he also wants to subsidize death. So these things really are "forever". :D
You can't make this stuff up, folks! And while I appreciate all the goodies you suckers keep sending my way, my garage is getting pretty full. So how about switching over to things like flat screen TVs or computers? Thanks!

Caught with their pants down by the attempted bombing of a plane bound for Detroit, the left and their allies in the MSM have resorted to the Big Lie defense.
The lie: that Republicans voted "against funding for security screening" that "could have stopped the terrorist".
There are several problems with this position. First and foremost, it is a lie. As reported by Republican politicians, the measure they voted for almost unanimously (Ron Paul being the lone holdout at one point) contained an increase for such funding:
Transportation Security Administration (TSA): $7.7 billion, $678.7 million above 2009, excluding stimulus funding. Funding includes: • Explosive Detection Systems: $778.3 million in discretionary funding to purchase and install explosives detection systems at airports. An additional $250 million will be provided for this activity through mandatory fees. • Air Cargo Security: $122.8 million, including $3.5 million above the budget request for 50 additional inspectors to ensure compliance with the 100% screening mandate set for August 2010 in the 9/11 Act; $2.2 million above the budget request for inspectors and canine teams to convert 35 legacy teams to proprietary teams; and $9 million above the budget request for testing and deployment of screening technologies. • Surface Transportation Security: $110.5 million, including funds for 15 new Visible Intermodal Protective Response security teams and 100 new surface transportation security inspectors to defend against potential attacks against our subways, trains, and buses. You can also view more details about spending increases. The items that the left tries to use as "evidence" include allegations that "some Republicans in the Senate" voted against procedural changes and that "108 Republicans voted against the conference bill". Gee, that means a) Republicans were objecting to Democrat procedural changes and Democrat objections to funding a border fence (among other things) and not against funding for increased security measures. So...who is "voting against security measures"? No one. But the left is hoping that you are ill-informed and remain that way! Speaking of being informed, check out all 32 votes on this measure. Note that there are plenty of times where Democrats vote "against" a measure but once again facts and logic tell you that voting against parts of a bill do not meant you are against the intent of the bill. Finally the terrorists boarded planes in Africa and Europe in 2009. Funding for the US in 2010 is irrelevant to that scenario. But hey, what else can you expect from the left? Facts and logic are never on their side.

Another whopper from the world's biggest, brashest liar:
President Barack Obama said the health care reform bill now in the Senate would be the largest deficit-reduction measure in a decade. And if you believe that I have even more "spending cuts" promised by politicians over the past few decades...which of course never happened. The "savings" predicted from the health scare scam are of a similar quality and quantity. I think Obama is targeting the "some of the people all of the time" subset of suckers. You know, the kind of person who believed that unemployment would peak at 8% if you only spent $3 trillion to "save" the economy.

Can you imagine the headlines if President Bush had stayed on vacation in Texas after an attempted terrorist attack like the one from last week?
Also, I'm sure the left would be on the march to claim that it was all President Bush's fault and he "allowed" the attack to happen despite intelligence warnings about the man involved.
Frequent flier update: I think we need some new "pat down" techniques if the terrorists are going to hide explosives in their crotch and up their asses. I wonder if the TSA is looking for a few good proctologists?

Liberals are trying to give credit for the 1957 civil rights bill to...Lyndon Johnson. It was of course Johnson and his fellow Democrat Senators (such as Al Gore, Sr.) who made sure the bill that came out of the Senate was a neutered version of what President Dwight Eisenhower had asked Congress to send him.
Ah, liberals...you can lead them to facts but you can't make them think!

Researcher predicts 50 years of global cooling.
In his research, Lu discovers that while there was global warming from 1950 to 2000, there has been global cooling since 2002. The cooling trend will continue for the next 50 years, according to his new research observations.
As well, there is no solid evidence that the global warming from 1950 to 2000 was due to CO2. Instead, Lu notes, it was probably due to CFCs conspiring with cosmic rays. And from 1850 to 1950, the recorded CO2 level increased significantly because of the industrial revolution, while the global temperature kept nearly constant or only rose by about 0.1 C.

Lots of party switching from D to R because of the scandalous way the Democrats operated and their policies which made a mess of the US. Thankfully, it's starting to happen again.

Harry Reid and his band of Menacing Men (and Women) are at it again: inserting language into the health scam bill that makes it almost impossible to override the draconian regulations by future votes.
Tom Daschle was famous for pulling these kinds of stunts when he was Senate dictator majority leader. His antics led not only to his downfall but the downfall of Democrats as a majority party. Hopefully we will see similar results in 2010.
ETA: More from Sarah Palin.

Then rubs your face in it by pretending that (kind of) saving $40 billion versus the $12 trillion (of your money) that he has spent and plans on spending demonstrates an end to "monopoly money" government.

Government run health care is still the worst, with the highest denial rates and denials for "not deemed to be medically necessary" items are the highest category aside from rejections due to coverage dates.
Note also that the vast majority of private insurer denials are due to coverage timing issues (before or after coverage dates) or the fact that the claim was submitted by someone who didn't have a policy with that insurer and not because the procedure was declared to be "not medically necessary". The useful fools promoting socialized medicine would have you believe that those evil, evil "for profit" companies deny coverage to everyone except those who don't need medical care.
The useful fools, of course, will simply deny this reality and continue to insist that less coverage at higher rates (and with similar denial rates) is "better" than what you choose for yourself.
Meanwhile Republicans want you to have even more choices.
Gee, which side to back on this....

The Bush era Department of Justice stonewalled the Civil Rights Commission looking into a confirmed report that radical white groups stationed armed people outside polling locations.
The Justice Department refused to prosecute the group and withdrew all charges just as the judge in the case was about to issue punishments for the three men involved in the case.
Furthermore the Justice Department ordered US attorneys to not speak to anyone from the Civil Rights Commission and stated that the Civil Rights Commission had no authority whatsoever and for all department employees to ignore requests for information, subpoenas, etc. from the commission.
Wow, quite a story, isn't it? Every item is true except that it's the Obama Justice Department doing this. (Oh and the group is a radical group of blacks, not whites.)

He gives those "fat cat bankers" billions in tax breaks.
The U.S. government "quietly" agreed not to collect billions of dollars in potential taxes from Citigroup as part of its deal to allow the bank to repay its taxpayer bailout, The Washington Post reported.
The Internal Revenue Service issued a notice on Friday that extends the benefit to Citi and other companies in which the government owns a stake, the Post reported. Whither the "healthy profit" the administration claimed earlier? And who can forget Obama's infamous statement: "I did not run for office to be helping out a bunch of fat cat bankers on Wall Street"? Suckers! Meanwhile, your tax obligation (and that of your children and their children...) will soar above 50% to pay for all of Obama's misguided attempts to socialize America.
